      Knights soccer to play for GMC title on Saturday
            The Old Bridge High School girls soccer team will continue its quest for the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament championship on Saturday. The Knights will play East Brunswick in the final at 3 p.m. in Sayreville. Coach Rob Lozzi's team enters the contest as the underdog, but he noted that the girls "are ready to leave it all on the field.

      Rough weather sidelines many over the weekend
            With small craft advisories for most of the week, many anglers stayed inside the hook for shelter. Capt.             The Monroe U13 Lady Falcons won their third straight game and improved to 4-1 in MidMonmouth league play with a 35- 31 victory over Millstone. Monroe led all the way and opened a 20-10 lead at halftime. Millstone made a run and narrowed the gap to 28-27 in the third quarter. Monroe's defense clamped down in the final frame to allow only four points.
