            New Jersey Blood Services will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 10 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3139 Route 516, at Route 9, Old Bridge. Donors are sought. Blood supplies are low in the region.

      Youngsters invited to see 'Potions' at library
            Piccirillo Sciencetelling will present "Potions," a program for children of all ages, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St. Screaming quarters, jets of gas to taste, popping potions, smoke-filled bubbles and buckets of fog will lead audience members to discover how dry ice and imagination can create a variety of effects.

      Tickets on sale for Holiday Tricky Tray
            The South River Primary/Elementary School PTA will hold a Holiday Jingle Tricky Tray beginning at 8 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Knights of Columbus Hall, Jackson St., South River. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Children under age 18 will not be admitted. Liquor and bent tickets will not be permitted.

      'Joseph' will be staged Nov. 9, 10 in Sayreville
            Triple H Productions will present "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at 8 p.m. on Nov. 9 and 10 in the gymnasium at St. Stanislaus Kostka School, 225 MacArthur Ave., Sayreville. In celebration of its fifth anniversary, Triple H has created a production of the classic musical featuring all children performers.

      Rosary society offering holiday grave blankets
            St. Mary's Altar Rosary Society, South River, is holding its annual Holiday Grave- Blanket Sale. Cost is $22 for a 36-inch blanket decorated with pine cones, poinsettias and a bow. Orders are being taken through Dec. 2 after all Masses at St. Mary's Church, Jackson Street, South River. Pickup is set for noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 8.

      Free computer training offered to E.B. adults
            The Churchill Junior High School Computer Club, East Brunswick, is offering free personal-computer training for East Brunswick adults. Participants will receive one-on-one training in Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and the Internet. Classes will be held monthly on Saturdays throughout the school year.

            The township of East Brunswick is conducting its annual holiday food and gift-basket program. Individuals, groups or organizations are sought to adopt needy families in East Brunswick and provide them with food and/or gift baskets for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Hanukkah holidays. All adoptions will be kept strictly confidential.

      Inmates to provide 'Straight Talk' for teens
            East Brunswick Police Department Youth Services will present a "Straight Talk" program from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 19 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. The program will target juveniles ages 12-17 who are at risk for becoming involved in criminal or delinquent behavior.

      Public invited to view renovations at school
            A community open house to celebrate the completion of renovations to Lawrence Brook Elementary School, 48 Sullivan Way, East Brunswick, is set for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 17. Interested individuals will be free to tour the building. A ribbon cutting will begin the event at 11 a.m. There will be a brief celebration program at 12:30 p.m.
