      Donate a bed net, help wipe out malaria
            When I took a trip to Tanzania in 2005, I took malaria pills to make sure that I wouldn't get malaria. But the natives that I met in Africa don't have the money for malaria pills. And just like you and me, they are afraid of malaria, too.

            Iwould like to take this moment to thank Dr. Ralph Ferrie, superintendent of Monroe Township Schools, and all the administrators of the Monroe Township School District. They have made the best of a potentially dreadful situation for our children.

      Parents must be voice; vote yes on referendum
            Ihave been a Monroe resident for more than 14 years, and I have two children in elementary school. I am an active member of the PTA and extremely involved in my daughters' lives. It is of utmost importance to me and my family that the Dec. 11 vote be passed and the new high school begin construction in Thompson Park.

      Finds three major reasons to approve school bond
            As a teacher in the Monroe Township school system, I see the overcrowding that exists each and every day. As a taxpayer, I dislike the fact that my tax money is paying for more than 60 portable classroom trailers instead of a real school. As a grandmother of three children living in Monroe, I worry that my grandchildren will not have a safe place to learn.

      Cost for school will be excellent investment
            Ihave lived in Monroe my entire life. I attended the schools here and graduated from Monroe Township High School in 1998. This past spring, my husband and I bought our own home and plan to raise our two children here as well. One of the main reasons we chose Monroe is because of the education we expect our children to receive.
