Community celebrates an old school made new
Construction project at Lawrence Brook completed this month

      EAST BRUNSWICK - Students, alumni, parents and teachers gathered recently to celebrate the bigger and better Lawrence Brook School. Originally built in 1959, the school underwent major renovations and expansion over the past two years, part of a $106.1 million project involving three township schools.

Dedication of high school track
     JEFF GRANIT staff William "Dudley" Tighe looks on as East Brunswick High School Athletics Supervisor Frank Noppenberger speaks during the dedication of the high school track in Tighe's name at halftime of the Thanksgiving Day football game. Tighe coached boys track and taught physical education during his 35-year career at East Brunswick, retiring in 1994. He has continued to volunteer his time for the track program.
