Mrs. Gurchensky, 83, of South River, died Dec. 14, 2007, at home. Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed as a cafeteria worker at South River High School, where she worked for 17 years. Surviving are her husband, Sylvester Gurchensky; two sons, James, and his wife, Carol, of South River and John "Jack," and his wife, Rose, of Flemington; two sisters, Helen Csordas and Anne Piersanti, both of South River; and two granddaughters. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick.
