Old Bridge spring football registration is now open for all surrounding towns, every Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. for the month of January. This is a full-contact, unlimitedweight youth football organization, as part of the Junior East Coast Football League. The organization is located at 432 Marlboro Road in Old Bridge. The Monroe U14 Lady Falcons basketball got back on the winning track and improved to 4-1 in North Brunswick League play with a 34-15 win over South Brunswick. Kylie Davidson keyed the offensive attack with 13 points while Jena Pritzlaff dropped in eight points. Jackie Racine (five points), Christina Felice (four points), Meghan McClaren (two points) and Samantha Clark (two points) rounded out the offense. Alexa Carini and Keriann Manziano each had a pair of steals and supplied some key defensive minutes. Victoria Clayton, Fallon Regan and Kristen Junquet each pulled down a pair of rebounds. Monroe matches up against Red Bank on Saturday.

The Amateur Basketball Association is running a 3-on-3 tournament Saturday, March 15. It is an 18-andover tournament and will be a one-day event; all games will take place March 15 beginning in the morning, at the John F Kennedy Center in Newark, a former practice facility for the New Jersey Nets.

Tournament fee is $250 per team, 3- on-3 tournament, six-player maximum roster per team. Three games plus playoffs included; 3-0 and 2-1 records advance to playoffs, 1-2 and 0-3 records advance to Best of the Rest playoffs. Referee fees, court costs, jerseys and tournament insurance are included. Trophies for winners. Half-court-style games to 25 points with two-point and three-point baskets, 30-minute time limit per game, one referee per game, fouls and foul shots.
