      East Brunswick wrestles its way to victory

      Sayreville boys bowling team on a roll
      Team prepares for Group III title match tomorrow
            On the heels of its first Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) title and second-place showing in the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group III Tournament, the Sayreville High School boys bowling team will compete for the overall Group III title on Friday at the Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes.

            The Rutgers gymnastics team picked up a home win Saturday over SUNY Cortland, beating the Red Dragons by a score of 188.650- 179.200 in a dual meet at the Livingston Recreation Center. The win lifted Rutgers to a 7-4 record on the season, and the Scarlet Knights are now 7-0 all-time against Cortland.

      EB wrestling looking to get even this afternoon
      Bears look to even their record against Bridgewater-Raritan
            The East Brunswick High School wrestling team will be looking to end its regular season with a win - and reach the .500 mark- this afternoon when the Bears visit Bridgewater-Raritan. Coach Glen Pazinko's team upped its record to 8-9 on Monday with a victory over Highland Park. Other big wins during the season came against Woodbridge and Central Regional.

            Fishing continues to remain solid on offshore wrecks. Anglers are carefully choosing days to take off in search of cod and ling. If you plan to take off from work, remember that this time of year is hard-core due to weather and how many fares actually show up. Always make sure you contact the captain and confirm the night before- and even then, I would have a backup plan.
