      Urges residents to speak out against budget
            At 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, at the East Brunswick municipal building, our mayor is going to present his new budget. We need as many people as possible to attend this meeting to either speak up or support those who speak against the budget.

      On picking and choosing adherence to 'contractual obligations'
            Can the old adage "Figures lie, and liars figure" apply more aptly to East Brunswick? Mayor William Neary and township Finance Director L. Mason Neely never met a tax increase they didn't like. They use the same phrase as the Clown Prince of Trenton - "contract obligations." Let's get something straight here.

      Mayor's plan to raise taxes will be devastating for many
            After reading about Mayor William Neary's speech regarding the township budget, my stomach turned over. Here he was discussing it with his friends and supporters, and, if I amnotmistaken, he has not yet discussed it with the Township Council members, who are the watchdogs for the residents of East Brunswick.
