      Sayreville wrestling coach looks back at season
            Through triumph and tragedy, the SayrevilleHigh Schoolwrestling team truly has become a family. This season the Bombers soared to become one of the top teams in the state. Sayreville posted a team record 24 wins against just three losses, won the NJSIAA North 2 Group III tourney and advanced to the finals of the overall Group III tournament before bowing toHigh Point.

      Fish On
      Summer flounder season is almost here
            High winds and nasty weather keep most anglers at bay. Local reports of bass being picked from beaches on blood worms along the Jersey Shore but not much to discuss until water temperatures rise. The 2008 summer flounder regulations are out with an eight-fish, 18-inch limit, starting May 24 through Sept. 7.

      Giusti, Suozzo lead O.B. wrestling to solid season
      Team finishes with 13-5 dual-meet record, sends six to state tourney
            The Old Bridge High School wrestling team featured three Region 5 champions and sent a total of six competitors to the NJSIAA Tournament. Though the Knights did not fare well in Atlantic City, they nonetheless put together an outstanding campaign. Old Bridge was 13-5 in dual meets and four grapplers surpassed 30 victors, led by John Giusti's 37 wins.
