      Governor at war with smaller communities
            Gov. Jon Corzine's plan to withhold state aid from small towns is an egregious abuse of executive power. Without any legislative input and without any effort to take the public's views into account, Corzine has unilaterally declared war on New Jersey's smaller municipalities.

      Gutsy governor did the right thing, at his own political peril
            Jon Corzine is my nominee for a Profile in Courage. The governor has given New Jerseyans the disastrous facts about the state's finances. He has presented his unpopular plans to help turn the picture around. Some politicians are telling us there are much easier solutions because that's what we want to hear and because it will help get them re-elected.

            Iam writing to express my strong support for the re-election of current East Brunswick Board of Education President Todd Simmens. Todd has brought to the board new vision, creativity, energy and enthusiasm. He has been an advocate for all of the district's students, staff and the East Brunswick community.

      Democrats' experience has had no positive effect on twp.
            This letter is in regard to the statements by Donald Klemp and Nancy Pinkin in the March 13 issue of the Sentinel about running for re-election with Mayor Bill Neary ("Klemp, Pinkin Will Seek New Terms With Neary"). Klemp said it is "the Democratic way." That is one of our problems - too many Democrats who want their own way.
