Are open space funds being spent properly?
I seriously question whether or not "open-space funds" are being spent wastefully. Three past expenditures of openspace funds make me wonder if tax dollars were wasted. The Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders purchased the Runyon Watershed from Perth Amboy at a cost of $12 million.

This year everybody's budget is tight. In our home we feel the additional costs of food and fuel, and we are resigned to the fact that the township budget will increase our property taxes. The only budget I can vote on is the Board of Education school budget, and despite the difficult times, I will be voting yes.
