      Unitarian Society plans Festival, Rummage Sale
            The Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, off Ryders Lane, East Brunswick, will hold its annual Spring Festival and Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 10.       Foundation's 'Arthritis Walk' slated for May 18
            The Arthritis Foundation's third annual "Arthritis Walk" will take place May 18 at Raritan BayWaterfront Park, South Amboy, during National Arthritis Month in May. Registration will be at 8:30 a.m., with the walk at 10 a.m. There will be a one- and three-mile course for walkers, and walkers may sign up individually or with 10 or more individuals as a team.

            The township of East Brunswick, Division of Recreation and Community Services and the East Brunswick Arts Commission will sponsor the sixth annual FineArts Festival, an outdoor juried show and sale of fine art and handmade crafts, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 7 around the pond at the East Brunswick municipal complex, Jean Walling Civic Center.             South River Parks and Recreation will offer "Women's Aerobics" and "Men's Fitness" classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks beginning May 1 in the South River Elementary School/Middle School auxiliary gym, Johnson Place. Ladies sessions are set for 7-8 p.m. Men will attend from 8-9 p.m.

            A One Step Closer Walk for Leukodystrophy to benefit The Stennis Foundation, a nationwide nonprofit organization based in Amarillo, Texas, is set to begin at 1 p.m. on May 17 at Lombardi Field at Old Bridge High School, Route 516 and Cottrell Road. Sign-in and late registration will begin at noon. Proceeds from the event will be used to fund leukodystrophies research.
