Donor will match gifts to George Street theater

Donor Ralph Voorhees recently offered George Street Playhouse, New Brunswick, a challenge grant in memory of his wife, Barbara. Voorhees will match all donations, dollar for dollar, to help the playhouse secure the funds it needs to balance its budget this year.

All gifts made by June 30 will be counted toward the Barbara and Ralph Voorhees Fund for Artistic and Educational Excellence. Any amount will be appreciated.

Contributions account for 55 percent of the funds George Street needs to make possible its Mainstage theater season and its education programs that reach 70,000 New Jersey students annually.
