Police investigate residential burglary
SOUTH RIVER - Police are investigating a recent break-in that occurred at a borough residence.
The burglary was reported at an Eastern Street home at 12:35 a.m. July 6. The perpetrators forcibly gained entry through a basement window located at the rear of the property while the victims were away on vacation.
The suspects ransacked a bedroom in the home, stealing approximately $100 cash, collector's coins valued at several hundred dollars, two cameras and a 32- inch LCD flat-screen television valued at $600.
