Fishing Derby planned for Aug. 12 in Monroe

The Monroe Township Recreation Department will hold its annual Fishing Derby for Monroe residents from 9 a.m. to noon on Aug. 12 at Molders Fish Farm, John Wall Road, Monroe.

Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Hooks, bobbers and worms will be provided. Participants must bring their own fishing poles. The free event will include lunch and prizes.

Advance registration is required. The event is open to Monroe residents only.
