• Supply Collection for Wounded Soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C. Seeking weightlifting gloves, carry-on luggage, backpacks, breakaway pants (snaps along the leg), prepaid food cards, gift cards, phone cards. Collection boxes set up in the Monroe Township Municipal Building, 1 Municipal Plaza, and Jamesburg Borough Hall, 131 Perrineville Road. The Veterans Council of Monroe and Jamesburg plans a fall bus trip to deliver the supplies requested by the soldiers. All items must be new. Monetary contributions are not sought.
• Neil Diamond Concert Ticket Raffle, Somerset Patriots Baseball Vouchers and Spotswood T-Shirt Sale, sponsored by St. Peter's Episcopal Church Fundraising Committee. Proceeds help maintain the ministries of the national historic site and 251-year-old functioning parish, corner of Main Street and Devoe Avenue, Spotswood. Drawing for a pair of VIP box seats to the Aug. 9 Neil Diamond concert in Philadelphia is set for Aug. 3. Winner receives two VIP show tickets, free buffet dinner, free wine and soda, private restroom, limousine to and from the show. Tickets cost $25 each; only 200 will be printed. Somerset Patriots minor league baseball vouchers cost $8 each for any home game at Commerce Bank Ballpark, Somerset section of Franklin. Vouchers may be exchanged by mail or at the box office for seats that regularly cost $9 each. Game schedule available at the church office. Spotswood T-shirts on sale for $10 each in sizes small-2X. • Food Drive, sponsored by Provident Bank, in conjunction with the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS) of the Middlesex County Emergency Food Network, at eight of Provident's Middlesex County branches: Woodbridge Center, Fords section of Woodbridge, Iselin section of Woodbridge, Hopelawn, South River, South Amboy, Monroe and Milltown. • Organic Fertilizer and Home- Cleaning Product Sale, featuring chemical free products, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 10 a.m.-noon, at the group's headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit partnership, dedicated to the protection of the Lawrence Brook Watershed, encourages area residents to avoid the use of toxic lawn and garden products and cleaning liquids. a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to the protection of the environment in East Brunswick, North Brunswick, South Brunswick, New Brunswick and Milltown, 4 p.m. to closing, at Applebee's, Ryders Crossing Shopping Center, Ryders Lane, Milltown. Diners should present a Dining-To- Donate flier at the restaurant. Applebee's will donate 10 percent of supporters' bills to the partnership. Flier must be presented for donation to count.
