      Jr. academy opened world of possibilities
            Iwould like to tell you about my experience at the Junior Police Academy that I attended in East Brunswick. This program is available for ages 11-14. When my mom told me that I was going, I was first shocked and scared because I didn't know what to expect. When the day came, we all got nice uniforms.

      Commission provided memorable centennial events
            On behalf of Mayor Tom Barlow and the Spotswood Borough Council, I would like to commend our Cultural and Heritage Commission on the wonderful job it did in organizing and running our 100th anniversary picnic celebration held on Sunday, July 20, at the Garden Falls/Stone Museum, as well as for the other centennial-associated activities held throughout the year.

      Public must be protected from gas-price gougers
            Iwant to make residents aware what is happening right in our own neighborhoods. Last week I went to a local gas station, where they were selling unleaded regular gas for $3.85 per gallon (cash price). I gave the attendant $40 cash for the unleaded, and when the transaction was complete my gas tank had taken 10 gallons of gas.
