      Stephen Switlyk

      Mr. Switlyk, 84, of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick, died Sept. 5, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He had resided in East Brunswick for 48 years before relocating to Kendall Park within the last year. He was employed in data collection at the U.S. Postal Service, Jersey City, for 25 years, retiring in 1998. Prior to that, he was employed at the Bendix Corp. He was predeceased by two brothers, John and George; a sister, Ann; and a son-in-law, Dr. Robert Tillack. He is survived by his wife, Pearl Bober Switlyk; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dr. Stephen and Theresa Switlyk of Sarasota, Fla., Michael Switlyk of Marina del Ray, Calif., and James and Dawn Switlyk of Berkeley Heights; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane Tillack of Branchburg, and Karen and Stephen Swierczek of Kendall Park; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Blessed Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Entombment was at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway. Arrangements were by The Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC 20090-6280.
