The Old Bridge Sharks girls U9 soccer team continued their hot streak and improved their record to 3-0 after their 2-1 victory over the Marlboro Blaze Gold on Sunday in Marlboro. Once again the Sharks applied the pressure early, but missed an opportunity after the Marlboro goalkeeper saved a penalty kick. However, they kept the attack going and finally broke through on a goal by Emily Valazza. A second goal by Noelle Petrusky put the Sharks up 2-0 before Marlboro broke through to just before the half to make it 2-1. An insurance goal by the Sharks in the second half was disallowed on an offsides call, making for some tenuous moments at the end. However, the score held up thanks to the stellar goalkeeping of Amanda Matsoukaditis and Erin Rynkiewicz. The Sharks' attack was also led by Amanda Abair, Carina Femiano, Justine Guardino, Jaspen Kaur, Toni Ann Kilaras, Gina Somma, Kate Wagner and Mackenzie Willis.

The Sharks are coached by Tim Wagner, Chaz Rynkiewicz and John Femiano.
