      Plays-in-Park to stage 'Cinderella' Oct. 11-25
            Plays-in-the-Park, Middlesex County's summer theater, will offer performances of its 16th annual indoor children's musical, "Cinderella," at 1 and 4 p.m. Oct. 11, 12, 18, 19 and 25 in the 150-seat black box in the Stephen J. Capestro Amphitheater, Roosevelt Park, Edison. The theater is handicapped accessible.

            The East Brunswick Library is hosting the Fine Films Festival during the months of October and November. Martha Hess, Information Services Librarian, will introduce each film. Admission is free and open to all. This year the festival features two of the best-reviewed films of the year, "Young@Heart," and "The Vistor.

      Pride in Milltown Day scheduled for Oct. 4
            The 11th annual Pride in Milltown Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 4 in Borough Park, JFK Boulevard and Violet Terrace, next to the community pool, and in front of Borough Hall. Rain date is Oct. 5. The event, organized by the Milltown Revitalization Committee, is designed to promote community spirit and awareness of local businesses and service organizations.

      Atlantic City trip to benefit Sunshine Kids
            Prudential New Jersey Properties' East Brunswick office is selling tickets for a Oct. 17 bus trip to the Showboat Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City. All proceeds will benefit the Sunshine Kids — a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing positive group activities for children with cancer.

      GOP Columbus Day pasta dinner set
            The Spotswood Republican Club will host a Columbus Day Spaghetti Dinner 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 10. in Erickson Hall at the St. Georges Church on Main Street, Helmetta.
