            Mrs. Salthammer, 82, of Jackson, and formerly of East Brunswick, died Sept. 16, 2008, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. She was a secretary for Merrill Lynch in New York City for 15 years before her retirement in 1980. Her husband, Arnold Salthammer, died in 1990. Mrs.

      Daniel J. Gizzi
            Mr. Gizzi, 75, a resident of Sayreville for 35 years, died Sept. 29, 2008, at Summer Hill Nursing Home in Old Bridge. A U.S. Army veteran, hew was a component tester for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies before his retirement. Mr. Gizzi was predeceased by his brother Mario and sister Ida Fuston.

            Mr. Listowski, 54, of Pennsauken, died Sept. 24, 2008, at Cooper Medical Center, Camden. He was raised in South River and graduated from South River High School. Surviving are a son, Michael, and daughter, Jessica, both of Pennsauken; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Brenda Listowski, of Fort Myers, Fla.

      Matthew John Jendrzejewski
            Mr. Jendrzejewski, 89, of Spotswood, died Sept. 24, 2008, at home. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., he settled in Spotswood in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Katherine; three daughters, Anita Jendrzejewski and her husband, Kenn Lucas, Dover, Del.

            Mrs. Sigle, 87, of Monroe and formerly of East Brunswick, died Sept. 24, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Arthur, died in 1993; a son, Larry A. in 1994; and daughter, Susan Sigle, in 1951. Surviving are a daughter, Anne M. Wallace, and her husband, Gary, of Spotswood; four sons, William A.

      Connie (Karounos) Kishyk
            Mrs. Kishyk, 82, a resident of Perth Amboy for 58 years, died Sept. 25, 2008, at Cranbury Care Center in Monroe. She came to the United States from Greece at age 16 and was a seamstress and forewoman for Phoenix Fashion and Schott Brothers in Perth Amboy until retiring in 1986, and had many private clients for whom she sewed.

      Glenn D. "Boxie" Barkalow
            Mr. Barkalow, 52, a lifelong resident of South River, died Oct. 2, 2008, at home. He was employed by Anheuser-Busch in Old Bridge for eight years and Schering-Plough in Union for five years. Mr. Barkalow was predeceased by his father, Frank Barkalow. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Zajac) Barkalow, of South River; two sisters, Gayle and her husband, Michael R.

            Mr. LaBarbera, 68, of East Brunswick, died Sept. 23, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Queens, N.Y., he lived in East Brunswick for 22 years prior to moving to Spotswood four years ago. He was an asbestos installer for A.C.S. Co., N.Y. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Marlene Staump LaBarbera; two sons, Carl R. LaBarbera Jr.

      Helen C. Jasionowski Roginski
            Mrs. Roginski, 92, of Palm Harbor, Fla., died Sept. 17, 2008, at Saint Joseph Hospital, Tampa, Fla. Prior to moving to Florida, she had lived in South River for 57 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Roginski, a brother, Ralph Jasionowski, and sisters, Florence Luteran, Mary Jasionowski, and Frances Milka.

            Mr. Brown, 51, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, who was born on July 15, 1957, died Oct. 1, 2008 at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by his father, Robert Brown, and brother, Randy Brown. He is survived by his mother, Mary Brown of East Brunswick. Cremation was being held privately.

            Mr. Szabo, 59, a lifelong resident of South River, died Sept. 29, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a carpenter for 32 years through the International Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiner Local 1006 in Milltown. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Szabo was predeceased by his parents, Menyhart and Jean Szabo.
