      Rec sponsors trips to shows, Macy's parade
            The Milltown Department of Recreation will offer several upcoming trips. All events are open to borough residents and nonresidents. A bus trip to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City is planned for Nov. 27. Departure is set for 6:30 a.m. from Milltown Borough Hall. Drop-off point is Lincoln Center. Bus will return at approximately 1:30 p.m.

            The New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance will host its annual Tricky Tray beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 at East Brunswick High School, Cranbury Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Admission at the door is $6 and includes one sheet of tickets, a door-prize ticket, refreshments and baked goods.

            The fifth annual coat drive, sponsored by Dr. Debra DeMarco of Monroe Chiropractic Care, Jamesburg, has begun and will continue through Dec. 19. Clean, new or gently used coats will go to Jersey Cares, a nonprofit group that aids needy families in New Jersey.
