            There's no doubting the dedication it takes to become a member of the East Brunswick boys and girls swimming team. When you sign on to participate in this sport, you'd better be prepared to live and breathe it 24/7. Consider the daily regimen of a Bear swimmer, whether it is practice or competing in a meet. Following the school day, which ends about 3 p.m.

      Sports Shorts
            The Old Bridge Lacrosse Association's spring season will begin March 1. Registration will be held at the South Old Bridge Fire Department on Englishtown Road and Appleby Avenue from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 14. Applications can be downloaded at www.oldbridgelacrosse.com or picked up at registration. The registration fee is $130, which is nonrefundable.
