      Kenneth G. Cassidy
            Mr. Cassidy, 73, of Monroe Township, died Jan. 9, 2009, at Saint Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a shop steward at the International Longshoremen's Association, Local 1804-1, for 40 years, retiring in 2005. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Liput Cassidy; two sons, John Cassidy of Clifton, and Kenneth G. Cassidy Jr.

            Mr. Appleby, 51, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 26, 2008, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was employed at several local food stores over the past 30 years. Surviving are his parents, Vernon D.

            Mrs. Golla, 87, of South River, formerly of Old Bridge, died Dec. 30, 2008, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to her retirement in 1946, she was employed as a laboratory technician in the photo-finishing department at E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville. Her husband, Joseph, died in 1979.

            Mrs. Eichert, 64, of Manalapan, died Jan. 21, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Palermo, Italy, she lived in Monroe before moving to Manalapan 22 years ago. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Michael; a daughter, Jennifer Crumley and her husband, Dan, of Summerville, S.C.

            Mr. Latané, 89, died Jan. 14, 2009, in the Gardens Healthcare Center, Monroe. He was predeceased by a sister, Janet Latané Revercomb, and by a brother, John Wilson Latané Jr. Surviving are three nieces, Janet of Alaska and Margaret Suzanne and Sylvia, both of Oregon; and by many cousins in Virginia.

            Mrs. Murphy, 68, of Old Bridge, died Jan. 5, 2009, at home. Prior to her retirement in 2001, she was employed by Blonder Tongue Labs, Old Bridge, where she worked for 22 years. A son, Michael Murphy, died in 1996, and her husband, John W. Murphy, died in 2004. Surviving are two sons, Frank P.
