      One game does not a season make. But if you want to point to a turning point for the East Brunswick boys basketball team, circle the 62-58 overtime victory over J.P. Stevens last Friday. he win was significant on a number of fronts. First, it moved the Bears to 8-6 on the season and positions them to qualify for the Central Jersey Group IV playoffs later next month.

Spotswood boys hoops team playing well

      When it comes to the success of Spotswood's boys basketball team this year, it's all about numbers. For instance, the Chargers are currently 12-2, and that adds up to a dramatic improvement over last season's 13- 12 mark. However, it appears that Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division foe Bishop Ahr also has Spotswood's number.
