      Soldiers Project filling gap for veterans
            Incidents of violence and suicide involving returning veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan are of great concern to everyone. Local papers across the country have reported on the numerous stories of assault, suicide, rape and homicide.

            The plan to reduce trash collection in East Brunswick to once per week is a misstep. While efforts by the mayor, administration and Township Council to save tax dollars are admirable and appreciated, this particular proposal is a very bad idea.

      Elected officials do not have 'clout' to supersede the law
            Regarding comments made in the article on the Forney House ("Opponents Lose Fight to Save Forney House," Sentinel, Jan. 29), criticizing the mayor and the Borough Council for not using their "clout" to prevent demolition of the building, let me explain the judicial process to which all elected officials must adhere.
