• Proceeds Night, sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes School, Milltown, 5-9 p.m., at TGI Friday's, Route 1 south, North Brunswick. Restaurant will donate 20 percent of each supporter's check (eat-in or takeout) to the school. Diners must present event flier for donation to count. • Adopt-A-Family, sponsored by the South River Elementary/Primary School PTA, to make the holiday season more enjoyable for disadvantaged children in South River. • Old Cell Phone Collection, sponsored by Our Lady of Lourdes School (OLOL), 44 Cleveland Ave., Milltown. All proceeds directly benefit OLOL. Old, unused, unwanted cell phones and batteries may be dropped off at the school during regular hours, 8 a.m.-2 p.m. 732-828-1951.

• Lenten Fish Dinner, sponsored by the Sacred Heart School HSA, 4-7 p.m., in the school cafeteria (Walnut Street entrance), South Amboy. Choices: fish dinner, $8; fish sandwich, $6; tuna sandwich, $5; potato pierogi, $5; slice of pizza, $2. All meals include salad, soft drinks, dessert. • Organic (Chemical-Free) Fertilizer and Home-Cleaning Product Sale, sponsored by the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership, 10 a.m.-noon, at the group's headquarters building, 85 Washington Ave., Milltown. The nonprofit panel encourages area residents to avoid use of toxic lawn and garden products and home-cleaning liquids. Data shows that stormwater runoff, contaminated by chemical lawn fertilizers and pesticides, is a significant contributor to the degradation of the quality of the drinking water supply. Proceeds from the sale are dedicated to the costs of the partnership's nature walks, bike rides, educational programs, mailings, printing and town cleanups. • Tricky Tray Gift Auction, sponsored by the Old Bridge School of Dance Jewels Competition Team, doors open at 11:30 a.m., event begins at 1 p.m., at the South River Knights of Columbus Hall, 88 Jackson St. Admission is $10; includes sectioned raffle ticket (a $5 value).
