John F. McDonald
Mr. McDonald, 78, of the Browns Mills section of Pemberton, formerly of Spotswood, died Feb. 14, 2009, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1995, he was employed as the code-enforcement inspector for the borough of Sayreville for 25 years. He was predeceased by two sons, William and Michel. Surviving are his wife, Margaret LeForestier McDonald; two sons, John "Jack" F. McDonald of Helmetta and Daniel McDonald, and his wife, Therese, of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Grace McAfee, and her husband, Dan, of Burlington; a stepson, Robert McCarthy, and his wife, Linda, of Chelmsford, Mass.; a sister, Joan E. McDonald Gahwyler of Mahwah; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg. Arrangements were under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick.
