The East Brunswick Wrestling Club (EBWC) 'B' team completed their season with the Mid-Jersey League 'B' Division Championship Tournament in Edison. Over 250 wrestlers in grades K-8 from 15 local towns participated in the end-of-season tournament. The following wrestlers earned gold medals: Derek Zelesnick, Christian Perrine, Nicholas Minikel, Christopher Vinella, Vinny Maselli, Nicholas Moss, Shea Obado, Sean Glasgow, Stephan Glasgow and Colin Mirenna. The following wrestlers earned silver medals: Sam Bortnick, Matthew Wendell, Sean White, Ben Prott, David Razzano, Alec Gleason, Eddie Rogers and Evan Zelesnick. Wrestling in their first tournament and enjoying the competition were Tyler Stevenson, Steven Piszar and Samir Wadhwani.
During the year, the wrestlers were in various tournaments — winning the Fords/Randy Gemgnani Memorial Tournament and taking second in the Edison/Steven Fulcher Memorial Tournament as well as competing individually in the Middlesex Novice Tournament and the East Brunswick B Team Bashes. Their hard work and commitment to practice has paid off at the League Championship Tournament and they will be celebrating their season at the team banquet in March.

Literacy Programs of New Jersey (LPNJ) is hosting a three-onthree Basketball Challenge on March 29 at the College Avenue Gymnasium (the Barn) at Rutgers University, 130 College Ave, New Brunswick. The event includes three age divisions, from ages 10 through over 18, a T-shirt for each player, and three guaranteed games with prizes awarded to the winning teams. Team slots are limited. A new fifth-grade boys AAU travel basketball team is being formed in Middlesex County. The team will compete in five or six weekend tournaments in the spring, beginning in late March.
