The Sayreville Bomber golf outing, sponsored by the Football Touchdown Club and the Baseball Booster Club, will be held April 18 at the Bunker Hill Golf Course in Princeton. Beginning at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start, the day will include hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages on the course, and dinner immediately following at Bunker Hill, as well as raffles and 50/50. Prizes will be awarded for closest to pin, longest drive and best score. Price is $125 for an individual or $460 for a foursome. Sponsorships are available. Literacy Programs of New Jersey (LPNJ) is hosting a three-on-three Basketball Challenge on March 29 at the College Avenue Gymnasium (the Barn) at Rutgers University, 130 College Ave, New Brunswick. The event includes three age divisions, from ages 10 through over 18, a T-shirt for each player, and three guaranteed games with prizes awarded to the winning teams. Team slots are limited. The executive board of the Tamarack Women's Nine Hole Golf Association is inviting female golfers from Middlesex County to join members in playing a friendly, competitive round of golf on Thursday mornings from April 1 through Nov. 1. The first nine holes are for tournament play; the second nine are optional at no extra cost. Golfers should have a knowledge of the rules of the game and be capable of playing the round in a timely fashion. Flights will be established depending on level of competency. Prizes are awarded for the weekly competitions and trophies are given out at the closing luncheon in November to winners of tournaments.
