Urges residents to vote yes for budget
Parents of Monroe Township School District students, please remember to vote 2-9 p.m. on April 21 at the Monroe Township Recreation Center. This is a very important year, and every single voter needs to come out. Last year's budget was defeated by approximately 300 votes, and it would be devastating if that were to repeat this year.

Seeks to clear up misinformation regarding school budget
As president of the East Brunswick Board of Education, I am writing to address recent comments made regarding the school district, many of which include facts that are either grossly misleading or altogether false. The board is committed to providing candid, open information to the public and community of East Brunswick.

Don't let platitudes interfere with good judgment
We are seeing the expected parade of letters to the editor "supporting education." In the course of these events, we come upon one or two special individuals who leave a lasting impression.

Vote for Becker, Karp, Shaw; support budget
On April 21 we will again go to the voting booths for the school board elections. I very rarely advocate voting for the incumbents; in fact, I usually recommend the opposite. But in these tough economic times I truly believe that the best vote this year is to re-elect Vicki Becker, Dr. Susan Karp and Meredith Shaw to the school board.

Applaud those who serve in more than one area
We have known Alan Bartlett for a number of years in our capacity in local government and in numerous volunteer organizations. In last week's letters to the editor section of the Sentinel, Dominick Turitto Sr. decided for unknown reasons to criticizeAlan and his service to the children of the borough of Spotswood.

Becker exhibits dedication to students, quality education
Iwish to stress the importance of re-electing Vicki Becker to the East Brunswick Board of Education. Vicki has served on the board for nine years now and has not lost a single drop of her passion or enthusiasm for the quality of education that she believes our children deserve and that is warranted in East Brunswick.
