      PTA will sponsor Community Yard Sale
            The Chittick School PTA Indoor/Outdoor Community Yard Sale is set for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 25 in the school parking lot and gymnasium, 5 Flagler St., East Brunswick. A clothing drive will be held 11 a.m.-3 p.m. curbside. The PTA is accepting clean, wearable clothing; accessories; linens; backpacks; lunch boxes; and stuffed animals. Toys will not be accepted.

      Animal Rescue to hold Tricky Tray
            Animal Rescue Force, East Brunswick, will sponsor its annual Tricky Tray beginning at 7:30 p.m. April 25 at East Brunswick High School, Cranbury Road. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Prizes will include a flat-screen color television, a Wii, an iPod, a digital camera, a portable DVD player, a GPS system, gift certificates and gift baskets.       Book, media sale coming to library
            The Friends of the Monroe Township Library will hold its annual Book and Media Sale April 25-May 1 at the library, 4 Municipal Plaza. Gently used books and media will be available at bargain prices. The sale will feature thousands of donated items sorted into fiction, hardcover, paperbacks, nonfiction, children's books, movies, music and audiobooks.

      Recovery-Sunday services set at church
            St. George's Anglican Church, 56 Main St., Helmetta, will conduct Recovery-Sunday services at 8 and 11 a.m. April 26. The events will offer celebration and thanksgiving for those who are recovering from addiction and for the spouses, family members and friends affected by the addiction of a loved one.

            A benefit Evening of Hope and Faith celebrating a journey of restoration for the orphans of Romania is set for 6-9 p.m. April 24 at Sayrewoods Bible Church, 2290 Route 9 south, Old Bridge. The Romanian Orphan Choir, including orphans Sebi, age 10, Palmola, 8, and Mihai, 6, will perform.

            The youth group of St. Paul's Church will host a Miniature Golf Weekend 6-9 p.m. April 24 and 6-9:30 p.m. April 25 at St. Paul's Church Social Hall, West Lakewood Avenue, Milltown. The event will help raise money to finance the group's upcoming mission trip to Calais, Maine. Cost is $5 per game for adults, $3 per game for seniors and youngsters age 12 and under.

            The Community Child Fair, a flea market and vendor fair, is planned for 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. April 25 at Kiddie Academy, 410 Main St., Spotswood. All proceeds collected from space-rental fees will benefit the Christopher Basile Foundation. Christopher is a 4-year-old student at Kiddie Academy who has been battling brain cancer since last year.
