Lottie R. Karney Barkalow

Mrs. Barkalow, 84, of South River, died April 29, 2009, at home. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a secretary with the South River Board of Education, where she worked for more than 30 years. Her husband, Joel Barkalow, died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Christine Brasno, and her husband, Andrew, and a son, Joel Barkalow, and his wife, Patricia, all of South River; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick.
