The East Brunswick Baseball League recently selected its 2009 12a Cooperstown team, which will compete in Cooperstown July 25 week against teams from all over the country. Players are Matt Bellantoni, Dylan Castillo, Kevin Donovan, Pat Geiger, Tommy Lanzano, John McHenry, Tyler McNamara, Michael Ng, Nick Smutko, Ryan Starace, Zach Stary and Bryan Talarico. Ed Starace is the manager. To help supplement the cost of the trip, the team will conduct various fundraisers including a June 22 golf outing to be held at the Pebble Creek Golf Club, Colts Neck. Fast Break Basketball Association Inc. will hold in-person registration for the 2009- 10 season 8-10 a.m. June 6 at the Hammarskjold School cafeteria, 200 Rues Lane, East Brunswick. Mail-in registrations will be accepted only after this date. East Brunswick residents will be given first priority on closed-out programs. The Monroe Township High School football staff will hold a Junior Falcons Football Camp from June 29 through July 2. The sessions will run from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The camp is for boys entering grades three through nine, and the cost is $125, which includes a T-shirt and insurance.
