      Temple to hold infant,toddler program
            The Gan Yeladeem Learning Center at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 222 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, will begin registration for "Me and My Shadow," an introduction to group learning for infants and toddlers. The program will include storytime, songs, finger plays, holiday celebrations, creative movement and art. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, 10:30-11 a.m.

            Total Core Fitness Boot Camp, 190 William St., South River, invites the community to participate in Weekend Warrior Camps for a Cause 8:30-9:30 a.m. every Saturday during the month of September. The workouts will raise funds and donations for the South River Food Bank.

            The Wellness Education Foundation, East Brunswick, will present a free community lecture titled "Fibromyalgia … The Mysterious Syndrome" 7:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the South River Public Library, 55 Appleby Ave. Fibromyalgia is a chronic, widespread musculoskeletal pain-and-fatigue disorder affecting up to 6 percent of the U.S. population.

      'Car-Seat Safety' coming to library
            The East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center, will offer a program titled "Car-Seat Safety" at 10 a.m. Sept. 3. A member of the East Brunswick Police Department will offer a presentation on how to properly install a child's car seat and will make appointments for individual safety checks.

      Italian-American Club slates weekly dinners
            The Sgt. John Basilone Italian-American Club will begin its weekly Tuesday-Night Dinners at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Imperial Music Center, 48 Appleby Ave., South River. The fresh-cooked homemade dinner will include split-pea soup, salad, spaghetti and meatballs, dessert, coffee and tea. Menus change each week. Cost is $10.

            New Jersey Blood Services will conduct a fall blood drive from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe. Donors must be at least 17 years of age (17-year-olds need a parent's permission letter), weigh at least 110 pounds and may not have donated blood within the last 56 days.
