The 11th annual Autism Charity Golf Outing will be held 11:30 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Forsgate Country Club, Monroe. Sponsored by The Michael J. Valiant Sr. Foundation, the event is organized each year by several New Jersey fathers of children with autism. The annual golf outing raises autism awareness and funds Autism New Jersey, which annually assist thousands of affected families in New Jersey — which has the nation's highest autism prevalence rates with 1 in 94 children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

The Princeton Youth Hockey Tiger Cubs is a learn-to-play ice hockey program for beginner players, born between the 2002 and 2005, who are able to stand and skate on the ice. Sessions are held Saturday and Sundays mornings at the Baker Rink on the Princeton University Campus. The program will begin Oct. 3 and run through mid-March 2010. Old Bridge Fall Baseball League is accepting applications for the 2009 season. Mail-in registration is available by visiting www.leaguelineup.com/obfb for an application. The Raritan Valley Soccer Officials Association is seeking candidates who are interested in officiating high school soccer in Middlesex, Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties. The RVSOA is a member of the New Jersey Soccer Officials Association, which is the leading organization for high school officiating in the state. The Central East Jersey Basketball Officials Organization seeks men and women interested in becoming a high school basketball official for the 2009-10 seasons. The twoyear training program, which will include classes, observation and on-the-court sessions, will be held 7-9:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at East Brunswick High School and is open to those ages 18 and over. Registration is under way for the 100- mile Century for the Cure Bike Ride, slated for 6 a.m. Sept. 12, at Camp Riverbend in Warren Township. Proceeds will benefit research at The Cancer Institute of New Jersey. A 40- mile route is also available.
