Iam sorry to see that Mayor David Stahl has passed this ridiculous one-day-a-week garbage pickup after all. I would like to see the newspaper print the exact savings that each homeowner in East Brunswick will save per week as a result of this. I came up with 50 cents savings per week per homeowner.

This year my taxes went up $400 from last year. That's $7.69 a week. If I want the twice-aweek garbage pickup I would be paying $8.19 a week. What is the purpose of the other $7.69 increase? In closing I feel that the mayor made a very costly mistake.
