      Miller deserves re-election
            Iam really looking forward to the weekend of Civil War reenactment activities that is planned for Sept. 26 and 27 at the Dey Farm historic site here in Monroe. Because of this dedication to the township's history, the Dey Farm restoration project has progressed, and this is due to the hard work of Councilman Hank Miller.

      Theater production, new venue get raves
            Excellence has always been synonymous with East Brunswick, and on Friday night, Sept. 11, we were pleased to see another example. After a 3 ½- year absence, Playhouse 22 returned to the boards with a wonderful production of the classic comedy "The Odd Couple (Female Version).

      Mayor, council worked to find compromise
            Iam surprised how much controversy has been generated by the change to once-a-week trash pickup in East Brunswick. People squawk when taxes go up, and people squawk when the Township Council does something to try to keep taxes down. I think the change to fewer trash pickups is fine.

      Seeks to set record straight on TNR
            For months I have read the discussions regarding TNR (trap-neuter-release) and I think it is time to interject a little logic into the discussion. I have been involved with TNR for over 10 years and have personally watched colonies shrink as the cats were no longer creating future generations.
