      South River High School football coach Rich Marchesi will say it took a team effort to defeat Spotswood 26-20 in overtime Saturday. But the number one reason why the Rams were able to overcome untimely mistakes and questionable officiating was workhorse back Steven Moore.

Spotswood girls defy odds in 12-5-1 season
Only three seniors graduate from this year's roster

      Spotswood High School's girls soccer team certainly could have considered this a rebuilding season. After all, the Chargers graduated eight seniors from last year's GMC Blue Division champions, which finished 16-3-1. Five from that talented group were named to the All-Division team, and two were placed on the All-GMC team.
