Lawrence H. Zimmer, Ph.D.

Dr. Zimmer, 74, of East Brunswick, died Jan. 17, 2010. He was a full professor in the history department at Kean University, Union, for the past 45 years. Surviving are three children, Rebecca Shaiman, and her husband, Steve, of Livingston, Steven Zimmer, and his partner, Michael McGuire, of Mount Laurel, and Cynthia Forman, and her husband, Donald, of Milltown; a brother, Michael Zimmer, and his wife, Sabina, of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a niece, a nephew and a great-niece. Services were held at Bernheim Apter Kreiztman Funeral Home, Livingston. A graveside service followed at Beth Israel Memorial Park, Woodbridge.
