Robert Jerry Carlyle

Mr. Carlyle, 78, of Monroe, formerly of East Brunswick, died Jan. 30, 2010, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His first wife, Harriet Haley Carlyle, died in 1984. Surviving are his wife, Marylyn Dietz Carlyle; three sons, Michael Carlyle, and his wife, Janet, of Wilbraham, Mass., David Carlyle, and his wife, Laura Day, of Newark, Del., and David Dietz, and his wife, Karen, of White Plains, N.Y.; two daughters, Carolyn Carlyle of Nashville, Tenn., and Jennifer Dietz, and her husband, Kurt Schneider, of Morrisville, Pa.; a brother, Charles Carlyle of Springfield, Va.; two sisters, Barbara Bolen of the Iselin section of Woodbridge and Mary Giglio of Lacey; and six grandchildren. A gathering and memorial service took place at M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe. A committal service was held at Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick.
