      JFVS to offer free women’s workshop
            The Women’s Center at Jewish Family and Vocational Service (JFVS) of Middlesex County, Milltown, will host an upcoming free workshop to assist women who are separated, divorced, widowed or who have a disabled spouse. An informational session on the workshop is set for 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center Drive.

            A program titled “Let’s Talk Wine: Red or White?” is set for 7 p.m. Feb. 10 at the East Brunswick Public Library, Jean Walling Civic Center. Wine enthusiast and expert Mark Censits will explain “point scores” and the complexity of labeling systems. Participants will learn how to pair wine and food.

      Church to sponsor Souper Bowl Sunday
            The Presbyterian Church of Jamesburg, 175 Gatzmer Ave., will hold a Souper Bowl Sunday event beginning at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 7. There will be a hot lunch featuring a variety of homemade soups, bread, beverage and dessert. Guests are invited to take home their soup bowl. Cost is $8 per person for adults, $4 per child ages 12 and under.

      Casino Night on tap for Feb. 6 at EBJC
            The East Brunswick Jewish Center (EBJC), Ryders Lane, will hold a Casino Night fundraiser at 8 p.m. Feb. 6. The event will feature Las Vegas-style table games, a poker tournament with professional dealers and prizes. Food, drinks and music will be provided. Admission is $59 per person, $118 per couple, and includes dinner, two drinks and playing money.

      Knights to sponsor Feb. 12 blood drive
            St. James Knights of Columbus Council No. 6336 will hold its annual blood drive 4- 8:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the council home, 83 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg. Donors are sought.             A Rock ’n’ Roll Oldies Dance is set for 8-11 p.m. Feb. 19 at Knights of Columbus No. 4815 Council Hall, 61 Pine St., Old Bridge.
