Mr. Thomas, 70, of Monroe, died March 2, 2010, at home. He was director of women and minority small-business development at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, where he worked for 30 years. Surviving are his wife, Jean Catanese; a daughter, Tara Thomas of East Orange; two sons, Craig Weber of Nutley and Mark Catanese, and his wife, Lori, of Sea Bright; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick.
