      Egg hunt, hat contest planned for March 27
            The Monroe Township Mother’s Club and the Monroe Township Recreation Department will hold their annual Egg Hunt and Bonnet/Top Hat Contest beginning at noon on March 27 at Dey Farm, off Federal Road, between Applegarth and Perrineville roads, Monroe. In case of rain, location will be the hockey rink at the Monroe Township Community Center, 120 Monmouth Road.

      Hebrew-speakers club sets March 21 meeting
            The next meeting of the Chug Ivrit club for intermediate-advanced Hebrew speakers will take place at 11 a.m. March 21 at the home of Frank Stechel, 329 Valentine St., Highland Park. Chug Ivrit is sponsored by the Raritan Valley Chapter of Hadassah. Meetings are free of charge and open to the public. Men and women are invited. Membership in Hadassah is not required.

      Milltown rec plans trips, fundraisers
            The Milltown Department of Recreation will sponsor several upcoming trips and programs. All events are open to borough residents and nonresidents. Reservations are being accepted for a March 21 trip to the Sands Casino, Bethlehem, Pa. The bus will depart at 9 a.m. from Milltown Borough Hall. Cost is $30 per person, with a $20 return in slot play and a $5 food coupon.

      Circus to raise funds for Hemophilia panel
            Phills Brothers will host a Sunshine Magic Circus fundraiser to benefit the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey at 7:30 p.m. March 19 at South River High School, Montgomery Street. Two children will be admitted free of charge with one paid adult. Tickets for adults cost $5 each and will be available at the door.
