Mrs. Diffin, 66, of Sayreville, died April 1, 2010, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was employed for the past 25 years by the borough of Sayreville as an administrative assistant in the Department of Recreation. A member of the Sayreville Democratic Organization, she served as a committeewoman for the 29th District. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Teresa Freglette, and a sister, Marie Amelio. Surviving are her husband, George O. Diffin; two children and their spouses, George and Cara Diffin of the Parlin section of Sayreville and Kelli-Ann and Jerry Fitzgerald of the Whitehouse Station section of Readington; and three grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Arrangements were under the direction of Maliszewski Memorial Home, Sayreville.
