Dr. Ambrosio, 83, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, died March 26, 2010, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he practiced primary-care medicine in the Parlin area for 49 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian M. O’Brien Ambrosio; four children, Margaret Mary, Bernadette Marie, Robert Thomas and Thomas John Ambrosio; and two sisters, Teresa and Marie Ambrosio. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Kathleen and Stephan Wilson, Joseph and Diane Ambrosio, Patricia Ambrosio and Patrick and Patricia Ambrosio; a sister, Jeanette Mustillo; five grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin. Interment was in New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin section of Sayreville. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, also Parlin. Memorial contributions may be made to Regis High School, New York City; Saint Peter’s College, Jersey City; or Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, D.C.
