South River Boy Scout Troop No. 83 will hold a car wash fundraiser 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 19 at the South River Elks Club, Main Street.

All proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The car wash is free of charge; free-will donations are sought.

The Scouts’ project is being held in cooperation with the efforts of Sean Doherty of South River, who is part of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training (TNT) and will compete in the panel’s fundraising 100-mile bike ride in Maryland Oct. 9.
