KMM releases 2010 Bicycling Guide

Keep Middlesex Moving Inc. (KMM), the nonprofit transportation management association for Middlesex County, has released the 2010 edition of the Middlesex County Bicycling Guide. It is available electronically and in print.

The guide maps bike paths within the county, indicating conditions such as speed and shoulders so a bicyclist can make a reasonable determination as to whether or not to travel on a particular road. In addition, the guide also provides NJ Transit bicycle policies and safety tips, location of bike lockers, area hospitals, points of interest, and most importantly, information on bicycle safety in both English and Spanish. It contains a bicycle safety checklist and tips for bicycle-wise kids. New Jersey bicycle and helmet laws also appear.

The guide was developed by KMM in conjunction with the Middlesex County Planning Department. To download the Bicycling Guide, visit the KMM website at www.kmm.org and click on the “Bike Map” banner found on the lower portion of the page. Individual or bulk copies of the Bicycling Guide may be ordered at no charge by calling 732-745-4465 or sending an email to kmm@kmm.org.
