MCC offers new nonprofit program
The need for nonprofit organizations to raise funds is greater than ever, and a new program at Middlesex County College will give students the skills to enter this field, and give those in the profession new strategies and techniques.
The program consists of five required courses and three electives. Students may enroll in each class separately for a fee of $125 each. If they sign up for the complete certificate program, with payment, the cost is $798, a savings of $202.
“Essentials of Fundraising Management” is an introduction to the field and discusses nonprofit organization and management. It will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, June 22 and 24, 6:30-9:30 p.m. “Board Development and Management” features developing, managing and motivating board members, and will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, June 29 and July 1, 6:30-9:30 p.m. “Special Events” will teach how to create and manage fundraising events, and will be held Tuesday and Thursday, July 13 and 15, 6:30-9:30 p.m. “Sustainable Income: The Annual Campaign and Major Gifts” discusses organizing fundraising campaigns, and will be held Tuesday and Thursday, July 20 and 22, 6:30-9:30 p.m. “Building Corporate Partnerships” teaches how to tap that all-important source of donations, and will be offered Tuesday and Thursday, July 27 and 29, 6:30-9:30 p.m.F
