John Flanagan III

Mr. Flanagan, 55, of the Madison Park section of Old Bridge, died May 31, 2010, in Manalapan. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a dock worker with Yellow Freight, East Brunswick. His father, John Flanagan Jr., died in 1999. Surviving are a daughter, Alice Flanagan of the Parlin section of Sayreville; a stepson, Lou Storer of the Morganville section of Marlboro; his mother, Angelina Sasso Flanagan, with whom he lived; a sister, Sandy Bongiovanni, and her husband, Charles, and a brother, Thomas Flanagan, and his wife, Thomasina, all of Sayreville; his former wife, Dolores Storer-Flanagan of Manalapan; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin section of Sayreville. Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics.
